Refer a Player
What is the Refer a Player Program?
The Refer a Player program is to connect the foundation with severely ill and/or injured people within the lacrosse world to be supported on an otherwise lonely journey. Anyone can refer – the person themselves, a parent of a child in need, a player of an ill coach
Who is eligible?
- Severely injured and/or ill lacrosse athletes and their families
- Can include coaches, players, family members
- No age limit
What is provided?
- Support from Casey Powell and his foundation leadership team
- Provide individualized support for the injured and/or ill person on their journey through multiple avenues (in person visit potentiality, gear kits sent to them, zoom/phone call support, “play for” days where at a certain lacrosse event their name will be supported and played for, etc.)
- The foundation will provide the appropriate ambassador and/or team to be alongside the player in need (ex. It could be the Oak Knoll project at the high school level)
- Support will vary based on their story and their need
